What a day! What a blessing!
We enjoyed a wonderful time of worship and fellowship at church this morning, followed by a fantastic evening with the band Highway 42. The food was delicious, the turnout was outstanding, and it was such a joy to see so many from our community come together.
And who would have guessed the weather would turn out to be absolutely perfect? We couldn’t have planned a better evening!
Thank you to everyone who came, volunteered, and helped make the event such a success. A very special thank you to Liz for taking on so much of the planning, organization, and execution. Your hard work and dedication helped make the evening truly special.
We are so thankful for a church family and community that loves spending time together. God is good!

Church building and property updates:
- Property Easement: Mike Williams, owner of the property behind the church, has graciously donated 0.018 acres to Shady Grove Church to provide the necessary building easement for our future education building. The deed is currently being recorded at the courthouse. We are very grateful for Mike’s generosity.
- Survey & Engineering: Both the property survey and the engineering work for the church property and proposed new education building have been generously donated by Rodney Peirson, an engineer from Daleville. We sincerely appreciate Rodney’s willingness to bless our church in this way.
- Building Plans: Daniel Banker is completing and submitting the building plans for the required permits. Once the plans are approved, we will obtain construction bids and present them to both the Church Board and the congregation for review and consideration before moving forward.
- Security Lighting: Additional motion-activated security lights will be installed around the exterior of the church to provide better lighting and improve safety during evening activities.
- Thank you to everyone who continues to support and pray for these improvements. It is exciting to see how God is providing through the generosity and service of so many people.
- We are now taking bids for the proposed new educational building.
